Catherine and I did lip syncing practice in preperation for the Busted video, which is the main preliminary task. The song we chose to do was Airplanes, by B.O.B ft Hayley Williams of Paramore. We chose it because it was a song we were both already familar with, and it presented a challenge in the way of lyrics, so that we'd be well prepared for the Busted video.
In the process of doing it, we also decided to try out various camera angles, so that we could see and experience what shots worked and which didn't. We discovered that it's good to have a mixture of mainly close up and mid shots, as it keeps the shot looking busy and it really frames the singer well. My personal favourite that might be worth trying to include in my main coursework is the high angle close up shot, which was the 3rd shot of Catherine in our video.
